Stores in new dimensions
During the past years, a clear tendency has taken place towards large-scale stores due to a change in the assortment structure. In many traditional do-it-yourself domains, a more and more specialized offer awaits customers. Parallel to this the range of products, e.g. occasional furniture and home accessories gain in importance. As well as this an appealing presentation and a good overall view requires an adequate offer of space, and this cannot be realized with a sales area with less than 10,000 m². This is why many OBI stores have been largely expanded. In the meantime the newly erected are between 12,000 and 16,000 m². |

OBI makes habitation real.
Behind the facade of the typical OBI architecture, there are do-it-yourself stores and garden paradises. About 70,000 articles are available to the customer at any time; further articles can be ordered in no time. |

The OBI adventure worlds are divided into the departments building, home, garden, and technology. A colour guidance system clearly shows the customer the way. The customer-friendly, open, and clear presentation of the goods as well as the clear shelving creates a complete overall view of the assortment. |
