OBI is looking for long-term business relationships built on trust. We are most flexible with regard to various forms of cooperation, be it long-term lease agreements of turnkey stores or various purchase options including sell-and-lease-back transactions. For lease agreements we offer long-term contracts including inflation-indexed rental terms.

Our preferred format is the one storey ground level stand alone building. Yet, we are also interested in co-developments with complementary high-frequency retailers (e.g., food hypermarkets, mixed retail park, etc.). Depending on the concrete set-up we also consider shopping mall projects yet under the condition of a separate main outside entry / exit.

OBI is looking for prime locations matching the following criteria:

Free visibility from all directions
Preferably densely populated city districts and suburbs
Highly frequented main roads and retail agglomerations
Optimal traffic connections for access and exit (i.e., separate traffic lanes, traffic lights, left turn, etc.)
Public transport access
Parking lots: 150-500 directly in front of the store, ground level
Plot size: 1.5-4.0 ha for stand alone stores
Ideal plot dimensions: 150-190 m depth, 160-180 m width
Footprint store: about 5.500-15.000 sqm (depending on respective format and location)
Connection to utilities
Proof of ownership
